My Pizza Quest

I am a self-proclaimed pizza-dict (pizza addict, that is) and my addiction led to to trying almost all of the house specialty of each of Davao's pizza parlors. Trying to figure out the best pizza there is, I ended up confused, and still undecided. (hahaha!) Here are some of my favorite pizza in the respective Pizza Parlors in Davao City that I've been to:

Picobelo
Located at the top of Gaisano Grand Mall in Ilustre Street, Davao City

My Favorite Pizza(s): Quatro Stagione and Calzone.
Means of baking: brick oven-baked.
Peak hours: 2pm-5pm (because they offer a buy one, take one pizza for dine-in customers)
Remarks: Homey Italian, Fine dining. They charge for 10% service fee on top of the 12% VAT.

Calda Pizza
Located at Gaisano Mall of Davao in J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City with branches at: Matina Town Square (fronting Ateneo de Davao University High School Campus)
MacArthur Highway, Matina Davao City and Legazpi St., Davao City

My Favorite Pizza(s): Calda Pizza (house specialty)
Means of baking: metal oven
Peak hours: dinner time
Remarks: Really sumptuous dough. No Service Charge add on. They serve 1.5L Coca-cola products at a convenience store price (really budget-friendly).

Mamma Maria
Located at J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City (fronting Hotel De Leonor)

My Favorite Pizza(s): Mamma Maria Pizza (house specialty)
Means of baking: metal oven
Peak hours: 2pm-5pm (due to the buy one, take one pizza for dine-in customers)
Remarks: Dough a little thinner than Calda Pizza's dough, but still yummy. Taste is more of Pinoy-style pizza. No Service Charge add on. They serve a pitcher of iced tea on a budget-friendly price.

Tia Nina
Located at Guerrero St., Davao City (fronting Dimsum Diner, near Holy Cross of Davao College) with a branch at Toril, Davao City

My Favorite Pizza(s): Tia Nina Pizza (house specialty)
Means of baking: metal oven
Peak hours: afternoon/snack time and dinner time (because they give out free single size pizza for every family size pizza ordered)
Remarks: Dough is thinner than Mamma Maria Pizza, with a consistency like that of a pita bread, but mind you, it could still fill your appetite as they're really generous when it comes to their toppings. No Service Charge add on. They have a unique interior, that would really make you want to stay and come back more often.

[Too bad Giacomino's Pizza closed their pizza parlor here in Davao. They, too, offered one of the best tasting pizzas here in Davao. I didn't include Shakey's Pizza, Greenwich Pizza, Pizza Hut, and Yellow Cab on this blog because I'm assuming they're already popular enough to be featured. ☺ I'll add more and update this as I continue my quest to pizza taste-testing.]
